OUR MISSION
On the laundry list of things she valued in life, my mother’s love for her family and friends ranked the highest. This love was most frequently exemplified by her selflessness. She would drop whatever she was doing to offer help with any problem, issue, or concern that I brought to her, regardless of its relative importance.
The Sweet Annie Memorial Golf Outing is intended to keep my mother’s love for her family and friends alive by giving us a day to eat, drink, (attempt) to play golf, and share stories of how she touched our lives.
Additionally, my mother spent a large majority of her career as a nurse in South Nassau’s pediatric emergency room. At the dinner table, she routinely shared stories about the little bushkies (or patients, as most would call them) that she tended to that day.
My mother lost her battle with cancer on July 20, 2020. Although she’s no longer able to tend to the little bushkies herself, we’re trying to pick up the slack. Therefore, any funds raised by The Sweet Annie Memorial Golf Outing will be donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in my mother’s honor.
Please consider providing a donation by following the link below. Any donation, regardless of its size, will help keep my mother’s love for the bushkies alive.
Thank you,
